Wood plaques $1 for the box, granite spray paint and the two pencil sharpeners I picked up for $1 each. I first cut and sanded the plaque to ready for paint. Spray painted the two halves with the granite (love the hard look) attached the pencil sharpeners. and BAM! bookends. The pencil sharpeners could have been resold on eBa or Etsy for $15 - $22 each. But I like the idea of a great teacher gift for under $ 30.00.
